WWE Friday Night SmackDown LIVE Results - (11/13/20)
Show Opening
The 'WWE Forever' logo plays us into the start of tonight's WWE Friday Night SmackDown episode coming to us LIVE from the WWE ThunderDome at Amway Center Theatre in Orlando, Florida as it hits 8:00 p.m. EST time on FOX Network! As we enter the ThunderDome following the SmackDown opening sequence, we immediately hear the music for our Universal Champion, Roman Reigns hit the speakers as Reigns makes his way to the stage accompanied by his advisor, Paul Heyman.
In-Ring - WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns w/ Paul Heyman
Roman talks about Jey Uso and says rubbing shoulders with him has turned Jey into a main eventer who destroyed Daniel Bryan and Kevin Owens. And at Survivor Series Jey will lead Team SmackDown to victory. Roman turns his attention to Randy Orton and says he doesn’t think about him, but you can respect a man’s accomplishments but not the man himself.
Drew McIntyre Interrupts
Drew McIntyre comes out and interrupts Roman. Drew says he couldn’t help but cut in because Roman took it for granted he would be facing Randy Orton at Survivor Series, but he will beat Randy on Monday night and it will be him and Roman at the PPV. Drew remembers the last time he and Roman were in the ring together, and it was when he eliminated him at the Royal Rumble. He reminds Roman that he then went to WrestleMania and dethroned Brock Lesnar, and in the meantime he has become the man while Roman ran away.
Roman says he likes Drew, always has, and he respects him. Drew told the truth, but now he’s back and ever since he’s been back nobody cares about Drew McIntyre. Roman says he doesn’t watch RAW but that’s fine because nobody does. People are watching SmackDown to see him. And now that Drew has failed his audition as the leader of WWE, he wants to know who exactly Drew McIntyre is. Drew says he’s the guy who’s going to beat Randy Orton and become WWE Champion, then head into Survivor Series and show who the secondary Champion really is.
Jey Uso Interferes
Jey Uso runs down and gets between Roman and Drew. Jey says he’s got this and he asks Drew what he’s doing here. He says Drew wasn’t invited, that they run the place. Jey says Drew is being disrespectful and all the homies that are disrespectful get got, and it seems he’s going to have to do the same to Drew tonight. McIntyre goes to speak but Jey slaps the microphone out of his hand, so Drew shoves him down. McIntyre steps towards Jey but Roman gets in the way. They stare at each other before Roman and Jey walk off, as we head to our first commercial break of the evening!
Backstage - Roman Reigns & Jey Uso Argument
We return to find Roman screaming at Jey backstage, telling him to never stick his nose in his business. He says Jey shouldn’t be calling shots or making matches, to which Jey apologizes and says he will handle things.
In-Ring - Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn
We head back to the ring where the Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn is in the ring and he says he only found out an hour ago that he will have to defend his title tonight. And not only defend it, but do so against a former United States Champion in the form of freak athlete Apollo Crews. He says this is clear evidence of a conspiracy against him but it’s OK, he’s going to use this as a chance to prove himself as the best Intercontinental Champion.
Intercontinental Championship Match
Sami Zayn vs. Apollo Crews
The match gets underway and Sami backs Apollo into the corner with right hands. Zayn whips Crews into the ropes but the big man drops him with a shoulder. He reminds us that Seth removed his eye, tried to break the family, but tonight it culminates in one final battle. Seth calls himself the savior but he’s nothing but a devil, and tonight he’s sending him back to Hell. On that note, we head to commercial break!
In-Ring - SmackDown Women's Champion Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks is in the ring and she says it feels damn good to be Champion. What she has went through would be enough to end anyone but not her because she’s on top of her game and on top of the division. So all the women in the back are on notice. She knows Carmella is watching… Bayley comes down to the ramp but Carmella appears behind Sasha and superkicks her. Carmella lifts Sasha for an X-Factor and the princess mocks the Champion. Carmella leaves and Sasha stares on in anger, holding her jaw.

Braun Strowman has returned to WWE SmackDown.
Tonight’s Royal Rumble go-home edition of SmackDown on FOX saw The Monster Among Men make his big return. It looks like Strowman will be participating the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match at Sunday’s pay-per-view.
Strowman’s return came after the ten-man main event, which included RAW Superstars as a part of the quarterly Brand-To-Brand Invitational. Sheamus, Daniel Bryan, Shinsuke Nakamura, Otis and WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E defeated The Miz, John Morrison, AJ Styles, Sami Zayn and Cesaro. The match started with AJ vs. Bryan, but ended in a DQ with Bryan as the winner after Sami interfered. The match then went to a six-man with Bryan, Big E and Cesaro vs. Nakamura, AJ and Zayn. That match ended by DQ after The Miz and Morrison interrupted.
Strowman’s return came as Miz, Morrison and AJ were triple teaming Sheamus following the main event. Strowman ran wild at ringside, then entered the ring to destroy Cesaro and Zayn. Braun stood tall in the middle of the ring and posed as the go-home show went off the air.
Strowman has been away from WWE TV since receiving a storyline suspension on Tuesday, November 24. Strowman was suspended indefinitely after putting his hands on WWE official Adam Pearce during a RAW segment the night before. The storyline was that Strowman was upset over not receiving a title match with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, which he felt like he deserved.
Strowman responded to a WWE tweet that said he’s back, adding, “And Badder than ever!!! #NoOnesSafe”
Stay tuned for more on Strowman’s return. Below are photos and videos from tonight’s show-closer:
